TIPS FOR THE SENIOR GIRLS

 Here at Photography by Carrie, we strive to make every portrait session as comfortable and as fun as possible. With senior girls that is easiest to do when everyone is prepared, feeling their best, and excited. This guide is made of tips and tricks we have gathered to make your senior portrait experience the best it can be!

1) Don't be afraid of "trendy" clothes. 

One day you will be looking back at your senior photos and you will want to see the popular styles from your senior year. That is why we encourage you to bring your "coolest" outfits to your senior portrait session. Trends are also a fun way to express yourself and your interests now, whether that be with sports, instruments, or fun dresses. With social media becoming so prevalent in our lives, digital images of the photos you order are given to all of our seniors to use on their Instagram, Facebook, and other sites. Who doesn't want stylish photos of themselves to post everywhere? Of course, it is nice to have timeless photos, which is why we offer multiple outfit changes with every portrait session booked. What is most important is that you feel like the best version of yourself in whatever you chose to wear. 

2) We have a team of professional hair and makeup stylists that you can book for your session. 

Maybe you are worried that you aren't the best at doing your hair or makeup, or maybe you can do it but just don't want to. We have an amazing team here that will make you feel like your most beautiful self. No matter what fits your style best, our team can do anything from natural to glam looks perfectly. You won't have to worry about a thing!

3) Bring a variety of clothing styles and accessories.

We love getting to help you decide what to wear based on the backdrops and locations of your senior portrait session. We will help you pick out what to wear down to your earrings and shoes. And no matter what season your session is in it is best to bring outfits ranging from summery dresses to cozy winter sweaters to give you the broadest range of styles in your portraits. 

4) Wear color!

Your senior portraits should be a reflection of who you are as an individual and the best way to do that is by wearing clothes with colors that reflect you. We are here for you! This is why we offer such a wide selection of backdrops to match what you chose to wear. Whether it's a jumpsuit in your favorite color or a vivid top that just looks amazing, you won't regret wearing color.

5) Be true to yourself!!

If you don't like dresses then don't wear one! We want you to feel the most confident and comfortable in your outfit choices. What is the most important is that you chose clothes that you like, and that reflect your personality. Don't feel obligated to wear what everyone else is wearing or what you think you're "supposed" to wear. Feeling confident is the true key to getting the best portraits from your time here with us.
